Downstairs is a large open plan vaulted dining room occasionally used for staging wedding receptions but now just for our clients' private enjoyment.

Upstairs are the sleeping quarters and a simple kitchen and dining room, while in the annex to the side is a second fully equipped ground floor kitchen, ideal for eating out under the portico.

The property is situated in the hills outside Ascoli Piceno in the small hamlet of Abbazia di Rosara, just half an hour's drive from the Adriatic Coast and the same distance from the Apennine mountains.

Most boxes can be ticked for the discerning Italianophile here, from art and culture in the historic surrounding towns to walking, trekking, horseriding or just relaxing by the pool.

And the restaurants in the area are renowned for their wonderful cuisine and reasonable prices.
